The first touch pad on the market with an additional stylus and the typical Wacom feeling
Bamboo Pad is the Wacom solution for adding navigation gestures and drawing or handwriting capabilities to the normal PC experience. Plugged into any Windows 8 (or Windows 7) operated laptop or desktop computer the authentic and more natural navigation experience starts at once.
“There are many people who want to use gestures for navigation. But the Bamboo Pad is not just the next touch pad on the market. For people who would love to add a personal signature, a drawing or some handwritten comments to their documents, this new product offers the typical experience of a pressure sensitive Wacom stylus”, John de Olde, Asia Pacific Marketing Manager for Wacom Co., Ltd., points out.
Aside from the patented Wacom pen technology (Wacom™ feel IT technologies) that makes a difference, the ultra-slim design offers comfortable usage even throughout long working hours. Compared to a traditional computer mouse the new pad offers not only multi-touch gestures (particularly under Windows® 8) which feel natural. Communication even becomes more visual and fun by adding sketches, drawings or handwriting with the included stylus. E-mails can have your personal signature, highlighting words and paragraphs support your message and help readers getting straight to the point. Windows 8 users also have the chance to download the new Bamboo Page app from the Windows Store for free. This software allows a head start into note-taking and light sketching.
Being an expert in sensor technology for digital pens and touch displays, Wacom now offers a two-in-one human interface device that feels natural, looks stylish and gives opportunity to work relaxed and add a little bit of fun and creativity to the normal office life. The Wacom technology makes sure, that gestures and handwriting never interfere with each other as the pad is recognising pen or finger and automatically deactivates either the touch or the pen functions. While running under Windows 7 and 8 by simply plugging it in, on Apple computers (MacOS 10.7 or later) a driver has to be installed first, which can be downloaded from the Wacom support website.
The Bamboo Pad is available with a wireless or a USB cable connection. Users can choose from four designs. Either a discrete grey with a shiny surface or a basically white pad with one of three fresh and fashionable colour accents in blue, light green or purple (wireless connection only). Of course every feel ™ enabled Bamboo Stylus can also be used on the Bamboo Pad.
